Where Clarkes Shoes Came From

Clarks Shoes has been around for almost 179 years. It started off as a family business first. From there, it became the leading brand that it is today. Indeed, without the effort of the family behind the initiation of the said shoe company, shoe clarks will never come to existence. Ever since, their goal is to produce quality shoes. Up until today, they are still living in the same mission. They have shoes perfect for women, men and children. The secret behind their success can be attributed to the fact that the family behind the shoe company is dedicated enough in ensuring the success of the shoe company.

More about Clarks Shoes

Way back 1825, Cyrus Clark tanned sheepskin rugs. The first sheepskin slippers were created by Cyrus’ brother named James. He used Cyrus’ tanned sheepskin upon doing such. They were able to purchase a Singer Sewing machine last 1856. Because of the said purchase, the brothers were able to come up with their sheepskin slippers. Then after that, the production began to be in motion. When the Second World War ended, dated 1940s, Clarks Shoes has been known all over the world. This made Nathan Clark create the Desert Boot which happened way back 1950s. His creation was influenced by the marketplace in Cairo. These boots became really popular. Their popularity came from the fact that they are comfortable to wear. After the said boots, Lance Clark created the Wallabee. This is a moccasin style shoe which was able to gain a large fan base. It was known to be the Clark Classic.

1960s had been a very special year for Clarks Shoes. Their company had somehow set a standard to other shoe designers. They were also able to include children’s shoe market. It had indeed enjoyed a huge amount of success. Up until know, it is still enjoying success.
